At this point in my life, I've a pretty good idea of what will make me happy: multi duty stuff; easy clean (Get that carpet the heckenspeck away from me-GRRR!),low maintenance/upkeep of the mechanical system and my idea of "eye pleasing"; pretty much in that order. Been working from home for almost 2 decades so I know how much space I need for that (20 sq ft and fantastic telecommunications capability, LOL). Don't want many guests and feel no need to impress them so I've finally reached my me-me-me period. The man is already retired so he doesn't care much what we do as long as it doesn't require too much deep thought from him. Wish I'd figured all this out about 25 years back but prolly wouldn't have appreciated the mind set.
