Both excellent ideas.
Some of the problem with RV plumbing is that pressurized supply lines and pumps are located in areas that don't afford easy inspection. You could have a small leak and not know it for some time.
I made the decision when I was working on the Starcraft renovation to replace everything with new PEX and the best fittings I could find. I did a lot of overkill but hopefully, I won't have any damaging leaks.
