It will work fine. The only problem is you get OH2 from the faucet instead of H2O. Just drink with opposite hand and you will not notice any difference.

Yes, the water is under pressure and will push it through no matter what position. My inside filter is vertical but the one outside lays on its side along side my MH and works just fine. That filter is sealed off at both ends so the water goes and come out the proper places.
