According to some sources, RV water systems are designed to work on 40 to 60 PSI. My assumption is that some of the manufacturers test to some value above that? Public water sources, Alabama for example, supply water at 35 PSI minimum up to 125 PSI maximum at the users faucet!
Pressure regulators are a security blanket if you don't know what your are hooked up to.
