What to do with the mail

I also use the Escapee's Mail Service. They have worked out well for me in my travels. I have my mail forwarded to me once every two weeks.


The information is out there, all you have to do is let it in.

We have used myrvmail.com for the last year & it works as advertised!

The USPS is the worst place to use for mail forwarding. I moved from CA to AZ in Dec and filled out a perment mail forwarding form and their are still sending some mail to my old address. I have called them several times about them still sending mail to my old address and all I get is 'I will talk to the carrier'

There are the two separate issues.

1 - You need to have a legal residence to get many things done.

2 - You need someone to manage the incoming hard copy.

If you are an FMCA member, they have a forwarding service. This includes screening and scanning.

I you join Escapees, they can provide you with a legal address and mail handling.

I am sure there are others, but you need to do some research.

I found this to be the best way too.

When you look it up be sure to look for UPS "STORE".

They have them in almost all towns. Professional and prompt and IMHO the best price for mail forwarding AND you get a 'real' address.

In case you are not aware, using a po box number will cause you all kinds of problems for just about everything now. Thanks to the Patriot Act. :R

Around here, the cops routinely run license plate numbers through their system via their onboard laptop computers, which tells them if the tags are valid or expired, which vehicle they are registered to, and some info about the registered owner as well.

Other popular states are Florida and South Dakota. You have to check what state would be best for you. Everyone's circumstances will be different. This is now true because of all the changes in medical insurance. It used to be that South Dakota was very popular but if you're not on Medicare it's not a good state to choose for medical insurance.

So how are the law enforcement going to know that you have paid your fees?

Here we call them registration stickers. But, January 2017 they will be eliminated and no longer issued.
