For RVs of that size, you need at a minimum two end-to-end normal parking spaces, and a square of four is more comfortable in terms of width (if it's in a parking lot and not streetside parking).
Going toadless is certainly possible and, depending on your needs and wants and habits, may be entirely a reasonable way to go. I don't pull a toad, and I can't say I've yet to have a great desire to do so. If you tend to like to stay in one campground for several days, rather than travel to a new place frequently, a toad starts to make a lot more sense IMHO.
I'd say try it without and see how things go and make up your mind based on your experience. I think it would pretty soon become clear what makes sense for you. There is no single correct answer for everybody.
(The one reason I see here often for having a toad that makes little sense to me is "what if you have a breakdown". Should one keep a bicycle in the car in case it breaks down? Should one carry rollerblades when out biking in case the bike gives trouble? A motorhome seems to me to be about the nicest vehicle possible to have a breakdown in; you have a cozy little hotel room all ready to use even if you're stuck in the middle of nowhere.)
