Why are 90%+ TT's or 5th's white?

While there are a few I've seen in various colors, red, green, yellow, tan etc. it appears well over 90% of all TT's and 5'ers are white. Why no choices in colors?
  • Because not enough buyers are demanding colored units. Winnebago has a neon green tt and open range has grey for their rigs. You will notice that the trend is going towards darker and more graphics.
  • Because people with off color rigs have not had to match up their off color many model years after rv was made.
  • I believe the white units have got to be cooler than the dark colors that is being used on a lot of new RV's. :)
  • As the owner of a 99% white (no decals even) RV, I'll still say that it's hot inside! LOL

  • if you are talking about FBPaint, since that runs about $6,000 or so??? so a 25K trailer will be 31K, 47K 53K, and would be harder to sell. besides if somebody's ego needs FBP they probably want a large Class A anyhow.

  • I just bought a taupe colored toyhauler. I am not white anymore :) :)

hubby is jacked he got a colored camper now. graphics are pretty also, but I also have 3 acs in that thing. 2 now, 1 being installed in the toyhauler section in a bit. It gonna get hot!

Hot pink ain't happening for my husband but I know my young DD would love it.
  • Because white is the most sensible color for lots of reasons.
    ..or, would you prefer this?

  • Because if your rig is sitting out in the sun and it's any color other than white, you'll have a devil of a time getting and keeping it cool in the summer, which is when most people use their RV.

Because it is a significant expense for the rig makers to add a color option to the lineup. Henry Ford said black only for a long time for this very reason.

Because it is a significant expense for RV dealers to stock their lot, an expense that would increase if you threw colors into the mix.

But, if you want it any other color, you can have it painted, you know. It is not as complex as painting a car, for a lot of reasons, although it will take more paint.
