30' gasser Motor Home, towing HHR toad. going westbound on I40 down through the George west of Ashville NC. We are in a long line of Semi-trucks, going down the grade, all holding plenty of clearance, most in right lane, occasional 4 wheeler zipping by on left. Approaching an entrance ramp, we observed a car coming down the ramp slowly. Suppenly, the car darts onto the interstate in front of me, beside the truck in front, slides out in front of me and almost stops instead of accelerating into traffic. Locked up everything, glanced back and saw nothing by big semi in mirrors. He had watched what was happening, and locked his up also. Ended up with the car, me, and the semi all about 6" apart. Thank goodness for professional drivers that know how to watch what is going on on the road every day!
