$10,000 surety bond?
I recently inquired about C.O.E. entrance gate position and was told all people have to purchase a $10,000 insurance bond. I have never heard of this before. Have any of you ever had to do this?

The COE will require a Bond from anyone that collects any type of fees. Even volunteers are required to have a Bond if they collect fees.
The COE reimburses the cost of the Bond for most volunteer positions but not for paid contractor positions.
It's been my experience that the Bond will cost about $100.00.
