Definitely not my cup of tea anymore - In my younger days no problem...
We do most of our OUTINGs within the region here around Virginia. Myrtle Beach and Smoky Mtns about the longest trip we will entertain.
Even in younger days we never did really get the RV Traveling bug. Always preferred the real Camping side of things... Guess my working years had me on the road from GA to CA all the time... Sort of been there done that already.
All we want to do now is wake up in the mornings creekside somewhere back in the woods... Get a bon-fire going and watch the fish jump haha...
Will leave all those MAD MAN trips to you younger guys now...
Use to meet up with my sister and her hubby who were traveling in a big Montana 5th wheel all the time. We family kids that are still living would try to all meet in Myrtle Beach in the SEP/OCT time frame where the youngest sister lives at Lakewood resort. The first few days of our week in Myrtle Beach her hubby was wore plum out from the road trip for at least two of the five day stay there. Then most of the stay for him was getting the truck and fifth wheel road worthy again for the long trip back up to central Illinois. Not much fun time for him there for sure... For us the 450 mile trip from Va to Myrtle Beach was a one day trip on one tank of gas pulling my off-road POPUP camper haha...
Use to hear of folks flying to out West somewhere like Phoenix then renting a CLASS C and do a somewhat smaller circle to see all the great places then head back to Phoenix and turn in the Class C and fly back home... Some would tell me it was actually cheaper doing it this way haha...
