We travel with two kids and a dog. Our hard part is the TT has 65 mph tires and blow outs are expensive. Given many west states have lower truck speed limits, that will also slow you down. It is much tougher to zip out and pass a truck while towing. Hills and mountains also slow things down. We shoot for a max of 500 miles a day when pushing it. Takes about 10-11 hours to do that for us with fuel stops, eating, bathroom breaks, etc. Time of day does not seen to matter much as far as time. It does slow down set up if pulling into a park after dark. Starting at 0700 and going until 2100 will get us 600 miles a day to include set up and take down. But it makes for a long day. We do a ton more miles when not towing in the same amount of time. Good luck and have fun.
