Our two kids are grown. We tent camped. There are a lot of places that we wish we could have gone but it just wasn't possible with 9 days off. No regrets taking them to all of the cool places we traveled. We hope they appreciate getting to travel. They are spoiled now that we have a TT. We plan a 4 day trip each year.
Only you know how you and your family will handle that much time in the truck. It may not be that bad if you break it up. We try to not make too many stops and we average 55 miles/hr. When I plan a trip I figure drive time by the 55 mph rule.
