For those that do have the Cherokee, I'm looking at the 2016 overland with active cruise control and brake assist. Do either of those components need to be of concern in towing? I believe the active cruise control is able to be disabled based on the manual but I cannot find anything about the auto braking and turning it off. Also, any concern about the tow set up interfering with either component when driving under normal circumstances?
It think you mean the Grand Cherokee - Overland? They've no influence on the vehicle when the transmission is disengaged and power turned off. There might be base plate mounting considerations to avoid the equipment ( will). The Overland has air suspension which does need to be taken off - auto/exit - which lowers the vehicle for exit when turned off. Shut off that feature to tow.
