I did that.
When your engine is running, do not try to put the transmission back to park with the transfer case in neutral. turn off the engine wait until it stops before putting It in park.
Not to be rude here, but I asked a couple of specific questions, none of which had to do with your answers.
Jack the front axle off the ground, set the jeep up like you are going to tow it, turn the key off and remove it . then see if you can turn the wheel full left to full right.
