2018 Leaf as a Toad

I just saw a video about the 2018 Leaf.

I did a search about the E Pedal. I was curious just how it works.

I was connected to a Nissan site with live chat. I asked a simple question. Is there still a conventional brake pedal with the E Pedal option. I was asked many personal questions and never received an answer to my question so I ended the chat.

Not very impressed with Nissan.

Also the video was about 50 minutes long and the information conveyed could have been done in less than 5 minutes. 45 minutes of my life wasted.
  • Yes there still is a conventional brake pedal. The E-Pedal feature is just a marketing name for electric regenerative braking. A feature that most battery, hybrid, or plug in hybrid vehicles have. You let off the throttle and the electric motors use your momentum to slow the vehicle. And at the same time create a trickle of energy back to the batteries.

Also according to the Leaf's owners manual it cannot be flat towed.
