I think what you are describing is similar to what my neighbor has with two curved cushions. If your is similar you
- Remove the pole and lower the table down to make a flat bed.
- take the middle back cushion and place it on the table.
- Take the two curved side cushions and set them out of the way. They are not used.
That's pretty much it.

Thanks for the help Grit Dog. It's weird though that in the 20 years we have been towing travel trailers, we have never ran into this issue. But I guess, according to you, we should not camp anymore. I appreciate your input!

some are hard to figure out, some engineer thinks "if we make them like this and you put those ones threre that one over here stand this one up on end, it will fit."

Could there be other cushions in the RV that you are supposed to use to fill the missing gaps?

No. The only cushions are in the dining area. 2 thick curved ones for the corners and the rest flat that should make the sleeping area.

can you take a picture of the area made up for sitting at the table but with the table down in the bed position, it might be easier to see if we can actually see it.
