That is a bummer...but, think of this way..you could be in the hospital for 7 days.
While on a trip, cocker spaniel had to have emergency vet care for congestive heart failure, hubby fell in vet lobby, broke his nose in 3 places, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in nearest town, dog under vets care for what was going to be a week, hubby in hospital for 3 days. Fortunately I was able to keep fur baby with me and do daily vet visits, then unhook motorhome, go to hospital and do visits there. Got them both released eventually, loaded up and headed back to FL.
Hope you are able to drive or your wife can get you home at the end of a week.
