Oh man sorry to hear about that! Our last trip two weeks ago ended in an ER. It was the last day of a week at the coast,foggy and damp, we were sitting out enjoying the last of our fire wood, fog mist turned into rain drizzle. I told the wife, lets let the rain put the fire out and we will go in and turn the heat on and watch a movie!
As she goes in I put the chairs away, a few seconds late I hear her call my name, I run over to the trailer to see her sprawled out on the ground, asked her what happened, she said she slipped on the steps.
Get her inside to see her left elbow bleeding thru the sweatshirt. Big laceration! I grabbed a paper towel and hold it on there, I tell her to hold pressure on it,,,,She asks why,, I tell her that there's nothing in my first aid bag thats gonna fix that!
A 911 call and a 45 minute ambulance ride for her. Broken Ulna (large bone in fore arm) and ten stitches!
This was at 11:30 at night, she gets released at 4 A.M., and we get back just in time to break camp and head home!
Ugh! First camping accident,,I hope the last!
