5 minutes and in ER

Great start to our 7 days at Windcrwek SP. Stepped off of dual wheel while unhooking fiver and left ankle decided it wanted to break when I stepped on the edge of the pad. Not even at the campsite 5 minutes, this is going to be a long 7 days.

Hope all enjoy your vacations and have some fun for me.

    Ouch, sorry to hear about that. Luckily, you'll be in a perfect place to rest, keep your leg elevated and stay hydrated! Hope you are feeling better and able to hobble around to set up and break down camp.

    I climb on my tire while hooking and unhooking also. Maybe some of us should learn from your mishap and install a step in front of the rear tire. Sorry to hear about your situation.

    While in the ER the wife ordered a step that goes over the tire so hopefully I don't do this again.

    Smart wife! :B

    Sorry to hear about your incident.

    Unfortunately I think I can top yours... or at least my wife did. The day we moved out of our house to begin full time RV travel she fell backwards off the step. She spent the next three weeks back and forth to PT.

    I,m sure you won't be jumping up on the tire for a while. In the meantime, look for a nice little step stool. I put mine upside down, right behind cab, and put landing gear wood blocks in it.

    The good news, your luck will be improving....it can't get worse. :)

    I was less than a day in Copenhagen, Denmark, when I tripped in the hotel and broke my arm. You have me beat. You have my sympathies as well.
