Thank you all of the folks who took the question and gave a serious and well-thought-out comment. There is, unfortunately, always someone with the IQ of a carrot who jumps in with a really dumb response. It is called "privacy" and also safety, as not everyone who is in authority positions or runs or owns an RV park is saintly. How many criminal cases have folks lamenting the criminal's "nice guy" "loves everyone" "he's a good boy (or girl)" or in a less violent line of thought, "where's my wallet" "gee, I didn't realize it was missing until ..." and so on. And then the brazen assumption that one has to be hiding something not to let some "sweet, helpful, loving" person into your coach because they feel they have the right to inspect.
Now, someone did have a very valid and reasonable reason, alarms nonstop, perhaps a fire or other dangerous possibility. That's valid and acceptable in my opinion, or if one truly trusts the keeper of the keys while they're away. But personally, do not think someone without a written permission and/or invitation should be in my coach, and I do not give out the key, only a name and number to call if something awry happens. Perhaps 6 mos. is too long and puts me, as stated in one message, into the tenant situation. Again, thanks for the information. In my 27-plus years as a fulltimer, I've never had a problem with this or had to even think about it. It is discomfort with the owner's insert in the lease that I find rather questionable. Big Brother appears to have taken many forms.
