Hey Guys,
I purchased a new TV and now the 7-wire won't reach from the TT to the TV.
So, I bought a new longer 7-way and proceeded to try to re-wire everything in the junction box under the TT. (It is a Bargman 50-67-620-7-way.
This is the picture from the original setup.
When I tried my right turn signal everything flashes-signals, marker lights. Everything. No left turn signal at all. I didn't even try the brakes
In addition to the 5 scotch locks there is two groups of wires in twist locks. I am not sure if I have the two groups in the twist locks wrong or if something else is crossed somewhere. I am supposed to take it for the inspection Wednesday night and go camping this weekend.
I am at a loss on what might be wrong. I put everything together as was in the original picture.
Please Help
If it were me I would get a Blue Sea Systems (or other good brand) Terminal block 10 Position, terminate all of those wires in heat shrinkable Ring Lugs with additional heat shrink over the lug barrel and put the Term Block in a plastic waterproof Junction box. Connect the wires to the Term Block and Mark each Terminal/wire.
This makes maintenance or finding a short much much easier in the future and is much cleaner and will provide you with good strong connections.
I personally dislike the plastic twist lugs and other "easy" connection types which do not have weather protection or a way to easily troubleshoot a system.
The term blocks and junction boxes are not expensive and in my book well worth the effort to do.
