The sad part is at 6’5” and 220 lbs with a Mensa level IQ, I could physically and mentally kick the butts of most of these imbeciles. It really sucks to be treated like that when you love the work you do and you’re good at it.

It amazes me when folks tout their ultra intelligence then admit they have to work FOR somebody. Ha! With an IQ like that, one would think you could do just fine without the 'imbeciles' controlling your quality of life. But since they obviously do, by your own account, they must be even smarter than you and your Mensa IQ. - coolbreeze01ExplorerAren't you glad you don't have to drive?

I'm 70 now, so I know that 70 years old is time to cut back on my miles driven per day.
I have set my limit at 300 miles per day, no more ever in one day.At 75 that drops to 200 miles per day.
Please pass it along.
I drive until Im tired, then rest,,, - bertnspikeExplorerAt that rate you won't make it out of Fla before your 70.
I've recently returned from a trip to California. In fact, I've put 10,000 miles on the RV in the last year. I am a strong proponent of the 2x2x2 rule, plus I add a couple of 2s, like staying for 2 days or 2 weeks...
My "rule of 2s": Leave 2 hours after peak rush hour. Drive no more than 2 hours at a stretch. Try to keep it under 200 miles a day. Stop for the night 2 hours before peak rush hour. Fill it up when there are 2/4 of a tank of gas left. Stay for 2 nights if not a destination, stay for 2 weeks if it is.
I did stay in CA for a month visiting my sister. My Rule of 2s assures that I'm never exhausted from traveling and I'm never under pressure. It works for me & keeps the fun in RVing. I'm retired! What's my hurry? So what if it takes me 3 days to get to Georgia from Central Florida? It takes me more than a week to get to my daughter's place in New Jersey. So?
Setup is a breeze because it's still light outside and I'm not worn out from the road. Break down is a breeze because I don't have a deadline. If I'm gonna tire myself out it will be on tourism, not driving. Getting a spot even on holidays is fairly easy too, because I'm arriving quite early in the day. I was only turned away once in the last year, and the RV park down the road had plenty of spaces. - hotpepperkidExplorerI like the 2X2X2. Im retired so don't have to be anywhere soon. Now before I retired it was drive all day and half the night because I had a short time to cover two weeks vacation
- buckyExplorer IIRic Flair, that is awesome. Looks like the Eaton on my Buick, I'm going to have to look into one for my truck. I guess I better research the old turbo or blown question.

We depart on a travel day between 8 and 9 AM and plan on stopping between 2 and 3 PM. We do not care how far we go on any given day, just do not hurry to get on the road and want to relax in the afternoons at a reasonable time. If we decide we want a down day or two we just stay where we stop for however long we feel like it. LOVE IT!

Even when we have to be somewhere on a certain day, we allow extra days to get there .. we sometimes drive until 4 pm, but no later, and that is only if we can't leave until 9 a.m. And everyone knows that an arbitrary number of miles won't work on some roads .. - noe-placeExplorerI like the idea of supercharging but wouldn't it stick out top of the hood? :B
