I'm highly sensitive to tobacco smoke, but if someone is smoking next over, I have an outdoor fan I can turn on to divert their smoke another direction, and snort occasionally to lessen the odor. The fan also keeps the mosquitoes away.
It's the nasty habit of tossing butts out the windows of moving autos that get my goat. Growing up and living in wildfire zones made me super sensitive to what can easily start a fire, and tobacco product residue is one of the major causes. I simply do not comprehend why so many smokers think it's ok to toss their fiery garbage into combustible materials...
