A request for cigarette smokers

Tell your wife to go inside. That should stop any problem that she has.

If you see me smoking, plus throw a bucket of water on me because I will be on fire. I haven't lit a cigarette for over 20 years but I don't pay much attention to those that do.

On the other hand, my wife has COPD and asthma so she is very cautious about being near smokers. I have many times seen her need to go inside and get on the nebulizer if she gets a nose full of smoke. So yes, smokers, please do be considerate.

I think there have been some good suggestions like a fan or simply talking to your neighbor about it.

I am absolutely amazed at the amount of rude replies here when the OP made a simple request to smokers.
He didn't ask for your opinion. He just made a simple request.

I am an ex smoker, and if when I was smoking I read this request, it would have made me think twice, and certainly try to be considerate.

The disposal of butts is my biggest annoyance.
I think smokers don't believe it's littering since a butt is so small.
There's a reason you see so many burned up areas next to roads in parched areas.
Arrogance, stupidity, rudeness-- take your pick.

I am not a smoker. but what`s going to happen when they open their door to the camper after smoking inside? all that smoke is going to come out! not much choice.

Just suck it up and enjoy it! I think a smokey campfire is worse than a smoker next door!

I just need to add my vote for tolerance.
It is my fervent hope that the OP, instead of getting his back up and angry, will read the majority of responses and pause to think.

I am a forty year 2 pack a day smoker that lit his last cigarette almost 5 months ago. It hurts like hell every day but it is doable!

Some of the military campgrounds are moving toward no smoking except in your own RV. Hope that spreads.

Why does it have to be a rule, can't people be considerate on their own?

In the time it took you to write and post a request to all smoking RVers, you could have easily addressed the offending neighbor with an individual request.

Most smokers I know are embarrassed and therefore considerate smokers.
