Wow, I just switched to AARP from Progressive. Progressive went up every year and AARP gave me a great rate. I wonder what it will be next year.

Luck of the draw really. In our case, Progressive is the only company that hasn't jacked with our rates, for almost 15 years now......knock on wood.
Have been pretty much ticket free now through my 30s and early 40s.....the same last 15 years. But used to be a target for predatory insurance practices. Multiple times.
Wish I could say The same for the house insurance.
One house in CO, when we switched it from home owners to landlord policy about 5 years ago, it actually got way cheaper, which typically isn't the case.
House in WA was about 2x as much for a homeowner policy, similar structure value.
Landlord policy on the WA house raised it a bit. Change back to homeowner policy though 2 years ago and it almost doubled!
House in WI has now been magically going up at least $100 a year for last few years.
Thought I was getting jacked, but they were still the best deal last time I shopped rates.
Not a lot of rhyme or reason it seems. Hopefully Progressive don't read this and realize they've forgotten to eff with my car insurance!
