I agree. IIRC is was used, in the 8 lug form, with small block V8's and not big blocks or diesels.
Even that Dana 60 in your F-250 is a hybrid right? Dana 60 housing for the weight with Dana 44 guts? Been a while since I have looked at those, or is that the Dana 50 that they used for a while.
Like I said earlier there are some vehicles that lend themselves very easily to new weight limits even with minimal modification and some that just do not have any room to grow without MAJOR modifications.
