Advice on TT for my Truck
Own a 2013 F150 ECoboost CC 4x4 Door sticker 1400lbs
Towing now a 2007 Aerolite weighs 4100lbs + /_ loaded. This is actual weight from Cat scales. Dry it about 3100, so we are carrying 1000 lbs of stuff + / -
Looking at a new TT.
1- Planning to stay under 6000lbs loaded. I am sure the truck will pull that ok. Opinions?
2- On payload, there is only two of us. we travel pretty light but want to carry 2 kayaks and 2 bikes.
Looking at the smallest Coachman Catalina TT ( I think ). It is a 213bh. Shipping weight is 4246lbs. Gross is 7000lbs. I don't think we would ever go over 6000lbs loaded.
Advertised exterior length is 25'6" ( box is 22' I think ). Hitch weight is 462lbs ( dry I am thinking ).
I am concerned about sway with a longer TT. No problem with the 18' with just a friction bar.
Let me have it. What do you think?
