- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII use mine often in summer. I don't use it much in spring and fall.
I am just a weekend camper that stays close to home. Last weekend I went to a small county park near me that doesn't have many amenities and is 10 bucks a night for electric and nothing else. (You can't even get water there) I was surprised at how many people were at this park. It's usually deserted. This caused the park to be more noisy then usual so I ran the AC at night so I could keep the windows closed. - brianosaurExplorerKind of funny topic.
May as well ask "Who wears a jacket when they camp" or "Who turns on their furnace?"
Well if you camp late spring through early fall in the south I would assume the answer would be "never"
We camp end of March through end of October here in New York.
Night temps fall to almost, if not, freezing.
We then turn the furnace on. - ajridingExplorer IIThe last camper I bought I actually removed the roof AC and caped the hole. I drove all over the country so this saved a little wind resistance, weight and kept my height a few inches lower.
I put it back on for an August FL trip and ran it just at night for sleeping.
I do not spend the day in a camper, the camper is a home base for adventure or whatever I am doing on vacation and not sitting in a small area looking out a window... lol - PA12DRVRExplorerNo RV now, but when I had them (3 total) I lived in Ewe-stun, TX. Easiest to say I didn't use the AC in January. Other times, default was to use the AC: for heat and humidity April - Sept, mostly just because it was warmer than comfortable in Feb, March, Oct - Dec.
On the 3rd and last RV, a specific requirement was for ducted AC. Probably turned out to be one of the reasons we used AC much of the time in that unit. - wopachopExplorerPretty sure they need to be started so parts remained lubed. For those of us with onboard gennys its common to run the A/C when you cycle the generator.
- TXicemanExplorer IIIn the 7 years we have been full time, I can count about 5 times that we have not used the A/C.....
Ken - ppineExplorer IITraveling where the weather suits my clothes.
- kellemExplorerFunny but true.
Even when we're not camping and the wife and I go to the trailer to drink wine and play cards " often " , first thing she does is crank the AC. - corvettekentExplorer

In the last ten years that we have owned our 5th wheel we have never used the AC.
I wonder why . . .
Marysville, WA (where you live) weather data from 2019:
June: 62 degrees avg temp, 63% avg humidity
July: 65 degrees avg temp, 66% avg humidity
August: 68 degrees avg temp, 51% avg humidity
As compared with, Lake Havasu City, AZ (where I often stay):
June: 92 degrees avg temp, <25% avg humidity
July: 98 degrees avg temp, <25% avg humidity
August: 98 degrees avg temp, <25% avg humidity
And, yes, I use the AC quite a lot in the Southwest.
How about another question along the same vein like . . . who uses their furnace in winter?
I'll bet the results from Green Bay, WI will be different from Yuma, AZ.
Location, location, location
We are snow birds and spend the winter in AZ. There have been a few times that the temp was in the 90's but we boondock all winter so no power to run the AC. We just sit outside in the shade. - BoomerwepsExplorerEven if I didn't need it for the temps and outdoor humidity, I'd need it to cut the inside humidity enough for me to sleep.
So far I've always camped with full hookups for those reasons.
