Paw's right. The panhandle differs substantially from the Florida of The Mouse. It really gets cold on the Gulf Coast east of Mobile. I've seen it snow around St. Augustine.
But when you're coming, the winter weather hopefully would have left. It's nice on the coast in the Spring and Fall.
