Am i ok with these numbers...

Hi all....got a new tv...2015 gmc 3500 denali crew duramax 4wd std bed srw.....anybody see a problem towing a 369rl solitude.

Here r rough numbers...trk rated at 11500 payload less trk of 7300 leaving 4200 payload. ..rear axle and tire specs confirm this. Dry wt 12500 loaded to 14000 for pin wt of 2800 leaves me 1400 payload left. Two of us..the dog...fuel totals 650. Looks like i am fine...anybody see a problem w these numbers...thx...bo

  • I generally don't ever provide advice 'sure you can'...as I don't have any skin
in the game...the only one is the driver/owner and the OEM via warranty and liability

Ask yourself if the advisors here on freebie forums will provide
    the $$$ for warranty?

Decide if you believe in the ratings system first

If no, then this is academic...do whatever, but know you have taken the OEM(s)
off the warranty & liability hook

If yes, then go out and weigh your TV and gather the various 'ratings' for your TV

It is simple math from there...though you should also have the actual weight of
the trailer...but not required if you don't have it's actual...I advise to use
it max potential and that is it's GVWR

Using GM online weights calculator shows a 11500 GVWR 3500 SRW 7050 RAWR SLT 4wd std bed has a 4100+ lb payload which confirms your numbers.

The Solitude 369 RL shows a 16000 GVWR with a 3350 CCC and 12650 lb dry weight. Even at a 20 percent of the trailers full 16k GVWR which I doubt you will load it that heavy.
Either way the numbers look good as long as you don't load the truck with aux fuel tanks/other heavy unnecessary heavy junk.
  • Are these actual scaled weights? If not, only guesses can come from anyone here.

Well using ball park numbers your truck will be around 8,000# load with you all and fuel so 11,500 - 8,000 = 3,500# for cargo. My F350 with us and fuel is about 8,000# so that's probably a good ball park with your numbers. A 16,000# GVWR gives you a pin around 3,200- 3,400# so that will be close but a loaded weight of 14,000# is probably a good ball park. So pin weight around 2,800 - 3,000# which is within your 3,5000# capacity.

    Looks good to me.
  • What is the true scaled ready to travel weight of the truck?
    What is the trailers GVWR?
Without those your only guessing and lots of us can poke holes in your guesses.
