I have a couple times picked up the dog poo and deposited it on the offending parties steps. Seems to cure the problem for the time being anyway. Doing so I saw one offender who was the recipient of my justice, he didn't see me in action, open the door start to step out then in mid stride made a midair move that would have made an Olympic gymnast proud. I have also called people when the squat was in progress and they have returned to pickup. DON"T YA JUST LOVE THE SMELL OF FRESH DOG POO IN THE MORNING, while doing the fresh grass shuffle.

I had a downstairs neighbor who did that to me. I came home to find a shoe box with dog poop in it on my doorstep. The problem was it wasn't MY dog's poop (my dog's poop was a LOT bigger than that and my dog didn't poop on his lawn). So, I opened the bathroom window that was directly above the neighbor's front entrance and dropped the poop. He never left poop on my doorstep again - I think he finally figured out the poop belonged to his own dog.
