Same model, they just have more accurate data to plug into it based on what we've learned over the last month or so. Also I don't believe that social distancing was plugged into the first projections because we weren't doing it yet.

The US has more cases and more fatalities than any other country. If the prezadent has his way, we are sure to have another peak of mortality. It will be our own fault.

Where I live only a very small percentage of people are still working. Those businesses and workplaces that are closed include:

Malls, retail stores
Restaurants except for some small amount of carryout for some
Movie theaters
Art galleries, museums
Schools, universities including teachers and support staff
Home cleaning services
Most offices
Car dealerships
Dental and doctors offices
Chiropractic
Vets, pet grooming, boarding
Parks, playgrounds, zoo
Courts, DMV, county and state offices
Landscaping, nurseries
Realtors
Home construction and remodeling


In fact not much of anything is open aside from grocery stores and pharmacies. Streets are deserted. Even some gas stations are closing or limiting hours due to limited sales.

People do not have an option of going back to work. The businesses are closed!

A good idea, but seems difficult to actually put into operation. No work=No income.
