I guess each TV/Trailer combination is different, but what I do once spotted is lower the jack, raise the trailer to maybe an inch or so higher than neutral height, pull the pin from the plate on the bottom of the shank and often the plate will be loose enough to be wiggled off. If it is too tight still, I have found that its because the plate did not quite return to straight, I just raise the tongue a bit more or reach back and often I can back the bushing bolts off by hand. Drop it back down to neutral height, undo the coupler, raise it off the ball and drive away. thus far I have not had to do much more then that. although I can see with some combinations where it would take a little more to get it hooked and unhooked.
