Recently returned from a 2200 mile trip from Chicagoland out to the Black Hills. Anderson hitch performed great, no problems with crosswinds down I-90 at all. We are towing a 33 ft. overall length tt weighing approx. 8500 loaded with a new f250
6.2. fwiw, I think proper towing combination is equally important. Have nothing to compare Anderson hitch to, but looks like we won't need to.
Thanks for the report. It is interesting to note how satisfied people are who have an adequate tow vehicle to start with and don't depend on any hitch to make up the difference.
I am really glad you made that point Tom... I think its interesting how the people running a Pull Unit that is "up to the task" have so little issues. Could it be that the whole debate about this hitch is more about the TV/TRL combination and less about the effectiveness of the hitch? Tbred and myself are the two heaviest combinations I have heard about so far and seem to be completely satisfied with it.
NO I do not want to start a new fight, just thinking out loud.
Happy Camping!
