After reading a few hundred postings on the Andersen hitch, the consensus seems to be that if you want a hitch that is lightweight, clean, easy to install, has good anti-sway properties, some front axle weight restoration, and virtually eliminates porpoising, then the Andersen may be for you. If you need to unload an overloaded or even marginally overloaded rear suspension, there are better options. For those folks who only need to shift a couple hundred pounds forward, the Andersen hitch works great.
