- larry_barnhartExplorerHard to beat our 8x8 inch 3/4 plywood squares.
chevman - ependydadExplorerHow wide is the leveler? Does it support the full width of the tire?
- notevenExplorer IIIThe leveler is kind of a chock when the second support is placed once you level. We also chock the wheels opposite the side the levelers are on.
- salemExplorerHow about gravel?
- whiteeye42Explorerthey work good on hard packed ground but not really well on sandy or grass site's in fact i broke a set in half using them on soft ground
- salemExplorerThanks, Ericosmith. That's exactly what I was concerned about. On the other hand, I guess if trailers were rolling off on a continuous basis, someone on RVNet would have written in by now. I may give them a try. The lynx levelers are getting to be a pain.

For you folks who use the Andersen Levelers. The RVNet mantra has always been that the first thing you do when stopping is to "chock the wheels" and the last thing to do when leaving is to "remove the chocks." Now, having said that, I have watched the video and must say I am impressed. Before I place an order though, I have a question. If you are parked on a slight slope is there any chance that the wheels can roll off the levelers? Or, does the shape of the levelers prevent that? Can you still use those yellow plastic chocks that screw tighten between the tires? Thanks.
That video assumes you end up needing about two inches, in which case the tire is sort of cradled in the leveler. In reality you may end up with the center of the tire on one end or the other. In either case that included wedge doesn't accomplish a great deal. I use roto chocks with mine. - Gene_GinnyExplorer

After you roll it up to the desired height you place the wedge under the now raised part so the tire is sitting in the "valley" of the curved leveler so it should not roll. I still use my between the tires BAL chock.

I have never seen an Anderson leveler but I really like my Andersen levelers.
Joe Anderson and his leveler.:)
Yeah but...
I have no idea who that guy is. I just used a photo I found after googling home-made leveler. I hope he's not on the forum! - salemExplorerThanks, Bucky. I haven't seen that question addressed in any of the posts I've read so far, and the video didn't mention it.
