Annual Wet Leaves Reminder

Now that the foliage is starting to pop, just a reminder that wet, fallen leaves are VERY slippery. It's also starting to dip below freezing in many places so beware if it has rained out the previous day. Quite often underneath the leaves stays wet and then freezes, unnoticeable to the human eye while driving. Take it easy while driving-it may save your life!
  • What is this "rain" you speak of.

Actually, we haven't seen much of it lately either, but it will come! I hope!

As a daily motorcycle rider I'm all too familiar with wet leaves.
    Thanks for the heads up.

Agnes > My mother's name was Agnes. Her actual name was Agnesha (Czech).
    I sure do miss her.
  • Great reminder to take it easy on wet leaves. My aunt died (around 1960) in a car accident because of them. My mother reminds me of this every fall. Agnes
  • Fallen wet leaves on the roof of the RV will `leave' stains that will be almost impossible to get out. Suggest a Sunshield tarp cover to avoid that issue.

    Popping foliage?

    Frozen leaves?

C'mon!! - Sounds like something to go with Sushi

    Roger Williams wouldn't be happy!

If it gets below 50 degrees F (at night) this "winter" - I will certainly be on guard!

BTW - I regularly check to see if the sky is about to fall - but that's dangerous to do when driving - so take it easy on that too.

  • I can only dream of encountering wet, much less frozen leaves within two days' drive. :) Summer has to end sometime, right?

    Thanks for the tip.
