My wife has been having trouble with the 7" thick mattress that I can only assume came new in our 2009 Keystone Sprinter. We sleep on a relatively expensive Sealy (or at least I thought it was pricey). Does anyone have any experience with the Denver Mattress/Lippert stuff? I need a short queen, so hitting a mattress store probably isn't gonna work, and with my law out we are 110% stuck with a short queen.

We just went through this... Our ICool deluxe mattress was horrible... absolutely horrible.. I had a mattress in my “08” Montego Bay that was awesome so I called my contact at KZ, they told me it was made by Williamsburg Furniture in Nappennee Indiana.
Called them, they done sell to public, referred me to Factory RV Surplus in Elkhart...i week later I had a Narrow King ( 72 x 80 ) inner spring with pillow top !! It is awesome !!

The ICool was dissected to see what it was and the inner tag was “ made by Lippert

After years of tenting, I find any mattress to be just fine.

We upgraded our home bed from a queen to a king and then swapped the old trailer queen (which we had put on 2 - 2" foam pads on top of since it was new) for our old queen.. Yes, the home queen is a little bit longer, but it still works in the trailer.. It is a lot heavier, so the under bed storage access is now harder, but we have that worked out now too.

We did keep one of the the 2" foam pads and put it on the home queen and now it's even better.

The old trailer queen bed wasn't 'bad' as such, with the extra pads, but that old home queen bed cost a grand over 20 years ago and I was not going to just toss it out! :)

I know that's probably not what will work for the OP, but just tossing it out there..

I changed my RV mattress with the same as the one in my stix & bricks, a C3 Sleep Number!

Why change your bed when you don't have to. Best decision I made concerning my RV.

Recently replaced the mattress in my Keystone Outback, also probably the original mattress in my '07 model. I have a Tempurpedic at home, so wanted a decent memory foam but for not the same amount of money. Found the Zinus line of memory foam mattresses, got the 10inch thick model four ~$250 delivered. Comes in queen short, fit my slide out perfectly.
The more I've slept on it, the more I've liked it. So much like my mattress at home but for way less money.

A Lippert mattress? Owee wowee, just thinking about that makes me want to reach for some pain killers... Sleeping on a bed of stones would be better. :E We got rid of our OEM mattress after sleeping on it for just a few days.

There are many brands, versions and qualities of memory foam mattresses on the market. We bought an 8" one that was on sale at a mattress shop that we happened to drive past while away on a weekend camping trip. Has been excellent and gives a better sleep than our fancy expensive one at home. If price isn't the important factor and want something of better design & quality, some googling may help. This website has some good info. There are even 3 types of memory foam - "traditional", gel-foam type and plant-based.

Unless you extend your bed platform or happen to have a full queen size mattress already, you may need to shorten a regular queen foam mattress to "short queen" length. Easy to do with a sharp knife or bread knife. Also note that the memory foam mattresses are heavier and can throw off the balance of the gas struts on under-bed storage and you may to relocate the mounting points.

If we were to ever get a new mattress for our TT, I'd make the platform an inch or two longer. A short queen is a tad too short for me and I hate it when my toes hang over the end and have to wiggle back up to the headboard. Annoying!

We're looking again, to replace our replacement mattress. We went with the WalMart Spa Sensations after a lot of good reviews. I find it to be completely uncomfortable and way to firm even in the summer months.

A friend and camping buddy went with the Denver and he really likes it. We may go with that, but the tightwad in me isn't ready to spend even more money.

I, too, bought the Zinus memory foam short queen via Amazon. 8" for ~$200 shipped. Wife likes it better than our home mattress. I plan on buying a couple in twin size for our newly rebuilt spare bedroom.
