Any issues with 4 12 volt batteries?

Just purchased a new toy hauler. Has 2 new 12 volt batteries installed. Right before i sold my other trailer i purchased 2 12 volt batteries. I want to run all 4. When they die, i will swap them out for 6 volt batteries.

There is nothing wrong with using 4 12 volt batteries wired in parallel correct???

i figure i cant return them, might as well get some good use out of them...

No problem with it, commonly done. Just make sure you wire them correctly.
  • Nothing wrong with it and it will obviously double your capacity and will take twice as long to charge. For best life stay above 12 volts. Keep the water over the top of the plates. If you dont have one, get a decent digital gauge to watch battery voltage.
When you store it plug it in or disconnect the batteries as its going to kill them while sitting. It will kill the battery if its completely discharged too often or you go under 12 volts often. If stored and on charge keep an eye on the water level.
