The more you camp the easier it gets. We leave most items in the camper. Each family member has a box for their clothing that they pack. Started when they were really young. I pack food and fire wood and go. All the kids help set up and clean up after camping. This is how we have always done it. Takes less than an hour. Sure we have forgotten things. Most importantly take a sense of humor and adventure
