Anybody flush their black tank with a hose onto the ground?
I was in line to dump today and the people in a travel trailer in front of me were disconnecting their sewer hose when I pulled up. I was thinking, great won't have to wait long.
Then while the husband was putting the hose away, the wife opened the valve and ran the (public) hose up the drain pipe, leave it for a few minutes to fill, then pull it out. Gallons of brown water would come out. She was standing in it in flip flops. She did it several more times and each time, more brown water would come out. She did it until it rinsed clear. The she sprayed off the concrete, hung the hose up and they left. She didn't even rinse her feet or wash her hands.
I'm not very fussy about dumping. I don't wear gloves. I don't spill a drop of black water though, have a tank rinser. I figure the grey water and the clear water from the rinser clean the hose enough. I spray the concrete off, wash my hands and leave.
Is their behavior normal or acceptable? Do others do this?
Its the first time I ever saw it. Just wondering.
