As a camper, it doesn't affect me in the least as I do my research before even making the reservation - including phone calls if necessary. Therefore, if I don't like what I find, I look elsewhere. This way, I'm always happy about the money part of it and I can enjoy my stay. I always weigh the expenses/fees with what the CG has to offer. I'll happily pay that (whatever tax/fee) to get that lake view in the morning. If something disagreeable comes up, I'll let others including the CG staff know. Being constantly worried about getting ripped off is something I am happy to not to have to deal with.
