Kids did live in Red Rock. I noticed a couple of the neighbors placed plywood cutouts on the tires, of their pickups, on the west facing side to keep the sun from ruining the tires.
That sun is brutal. We went somewhere out there on a day trip. I wore a double yoked western shirt. Wife wore a heavy western shirt but she still got sunburned through it. I've gotten severely sunburned with just a heavy t shirt on.
There's a reason for 40 inch brimmed cowboy hats. I can't imagine the severity of the sun, on June 22, on Mount Logan, I think it is.
Parked out there for a good while I'm sure the paint takes a serious beating.
