Armor All good_bad?

The first and last time I used it was in the early 90's, it cracked my dash board and the sidewalls of my tires. That was a long time ago so maybe it is a better product now. I'll never find out, it isn't worth it to me.

I've used it for years on my tires and never had any problems. I now use Amourall extreme tire shine Gel. Has a nice applicator so your hands don't get greasy. I know places like Discount tire say no to it. But I only use it 4-5 times a year. Living in Oregon we only have a 1/2 a year where your truck stays clean for a few weeks at a time. If I lived in AZ or FL I suppose I would be using it more often and then I may se some issues. But 4-5 times a year I really doubt it matters. I don't even use it every wash maybe every 3rd in the summer and rarely in the fall or spring. Moderation is the key.

I used to use it until I found aerospace 303. Now I use it for everything. With that being said though, I used to use Armor All on all my tires and never had a crack one show up.

Also, I can tell you that my dad uses Armor All on the vinyl cover of his electric tongue jack and I use 303 on mine. His is all cracked and after two seasons mine looks new. We store the trailers inside too so thats with minimum exposure to the elements. It might be true that its bad.......

From what I've heard, it isn't good for tires either.

Never liked Never used, always left an oily feel.

Read the label and you will see that it contains "petroleum distillates". Then do a search of using that on any rubber product and make up your own mind. The destruction that petroleum distillates does to rubber tells me not to use it on ANY rubber product I own, including tires, but YMMV.........

It will dry out seals. I basically wouldn't use it on anything but tires.
