- stevekkExplorerFunny story about the witch.
Yup, thats Art Bell.
Typical..
Unusual talk .... what can I say. Love it or hate it.
He use to talk politics/ current events.
He drove to Las Vegas every night and was on AM 720 KDWN.
Then I think he got bored with it all, and changed over to the way he is now. - goreds2ExplorerHe said that SiriusXM upped the sound quality on Indie channel 104 just for him. Also, he said the phone lines have been fixed so Canadian callers can join in now.

I got my Sept 23, 2013 Time magazine,
and there was an article on him.
He is back in Pahrump, NV and will be on Sirius XM radio starting Sept 16, 2013 night.
Any Art Bell fans and do you remember him?
About 13 or 14 years ago,was Boondocking with some friends near Amboy
on old 66 and sitting around the fire was listening to Art Bell out of Pahrump.Show was funny. was mostley about UFO stuff, but one guest called and insisted she was a witch, anyway Art dared her to turn him into a frog. She said she could but wouldn't due to the new witches union rules. - Jim_ShoeExplorerOr, unless you know the person resembles the northern end of a southbound horse, or you're pretty sure that his mother was a canine. :)
- stevekkExplorerYes I heard that last night.
Good for him. No foul language.
No need for bad language anytime in my opinion....
unless you hit your finger or something..!! - goreds2Explorer

Art Bell said there will be no cursing on his show.
The only thing I don't like about Sat Radio, is the "Dirty Talk".
Gets old real fast. - McZippieExplorerI subscribed to Sirius XM just to listen to Art's new program.
Art's show is all about guests and callers, that if they were posting on an Internet Forums, would be referred to as "trolls" ... People who understand that a lot of entertainment, is just getting people to suspend conventional beliefs and take a ride into a different reality.
Art is a non judgmental host that gives these Master Trolls a 'Forum' to work their unique magic. - Jim_ShoeExplorerSteve,
That's good to know. I actually have a second receiver. It came with the boom box, but its not activated. I don't need it. But if my other receiver goes belly up, I have an option. I don't listen to the talk stations anyway. If I wanted to listen to DJs talk, I'd listen to regular radio. As far as the "shock jocks", I'm not shocked by it. I can cuss like a sailor because I was one, but it doesn't make me sound any smarter. Matter of fact, it usually indicates a lack of language skills. - stevekkExplorerI also have Lifetime Sub.
But my receiver went belly up.
When that happens, they charge you a fee to transfer your subscription to a new receiver. And you can only do that a limited number of times.

Gets old real fast. - Jim_ShoeExplorerI got dumb lucky years ago. I purchased a lifetime subscription to XM. Shortly after that, XM merged with Sirius, so I get all the stations for no further outlay, ever. I have holsters in the RV, toad and daily driver and a boom box that accepts the receiver and also plays CDs. As long as the receiver keeps working, I'm good. I haven't listened to over the air radio in 15 years. Sure is nice not having to hunt for a new station when you leave a broadcast area.
