I wouldn’t flat say they’ll stop camping with you. But in the teens there are boyfriends and girlfriends, peers, jobs, etc and that will likely reduce the camping they do. I don’t recall when my boys started phasing out. In the late teens I think. My granddaughters, now 19 and 16 don’t go with us as much because of the above factors. And the fact it’s a 1000 mile trip to even get in position to do so since they’re in OK. But even when they do stop going, the grandkids start coming along and you can start all over again.
We usually had someone along since there’s 20 years between my youngest and oldest sons. We don’t camp with our sons now, they’re scattered all over the country except for the youngest and he’s not a camper. I don’t know where he came from.:) But his DW is hounding me to take her and their son camping, they’ve never been. So that’s in the offing, I just have to steel myself to get the TT ready in this heat.
