It would not really be less slippery for you or the dogs IMO… but it is thin and easy to store, it is almost bullet proof as far as lasting and wear goes (although I have put a rip in one of mine from sliding a rusted picnic table leg one time)… it can even be machine washed but do not put it in the dryer… it also needs weighted or staked down…
It is easy to work with and can be sewn on any machine and can be used for so much more than a awning shade curtain… ground covers, covers for the mirrors, windows, and bags for carrying lawn chairs just to name a few (color coordinated if you want)… it’s tough stuff and light weight wont unravel when cut and will hold up well for almost anything… but it won’t hold dirt or water…
I have no idea what brand mine is… I have bought some at HD, Lowes, and on line without ever knowing the brand…
