- gatorcqExplorerLived in Az for over 30 years. the best time is the summer, when the golf courses are MT, the hiking trails quite and the desert is cool at night.
Lived at the NW based of Superstition Mtn. (Desert Rat)
Drive 2 at 55 - run100Explorer IIThe toughest part of the Phoenix summers, is the minimal cooling overnight.
Last week, I went to a store about 9:30PM and it was still 106! Another day, I was heading to work around 6:30AM and it was already 97-degrees. - pnicholsExplorer III'm curious:
1) Is there an RV made that can be kept comfortable inside when the outside is at 120 F?
2) Has any full-timer ever spent the summer in non-mountain Arizona on hookups and how did they keep comfortable doing it?
3) Has any RV'er ever drycamped for several days in the 120 degree Arizona heat and how did they do it?
:h - B_O__PlentyExplorer IIHaven't found a better place to spend the Winter. Wouldn't want to be there in the Summer.

Oct to May Casa Grande Ariz
May to Oct Lakewood Co - ValkyriebushExplorer IIIf you only drink half of your coffee on the way to work in the morning, the other half will be hotter on the drive home.
- down_homeExplorer III believe AZ is the only place, we've kept a cake, in the refrigerator, to keep it from drying out, before it cools or can get the icing on it, or anything else for that matter.
All those creases and character lines, in older Folks from Az well...might better carry one, of those little misting fans.:) - wmosesExplorer

120 degrees, but remember it is a dry heat.
Hahahah .... "its not the heat, its the humidity ..."
Heck 120 degrees is hot, wet or dry. Passing through AZ next month on the way to CA,and I sure hope it is drier than here in the Bayou City. :C - PuttinExplorerMaybe the monssons will come tonight, enjoy!:C
- Jim_ShoeExplorerI can remember driving through Arizona in the middle of summer. It was so hot...
that I saw a dog chasing a cat, and they were both walking.
