Yea, our kids and grand kids call us "old timers" now and out of touch. I think they've forgotten who thought up, designed, and built all those crazy contraptions they play with these day!
Proud to be born in 1955, 2 days before Albert Einstein died!
My first car was a 1955 Pontiac. My parents bought it for me from a neighbor up the road, an old man who had to give up driving. I was 16 years old. The car was manufactured 2 months after I was born. That was the day when the model of the automobile was still labeled in the year it was actually built, not a year ahead like they do now! 1955 meant.... 1955!
My car looked almost identical to this one. Same color and everything, minus the brown rust showing through on this one.
