Totally enjoyable thread, I was born in 1953 (Boomer), grew up thinking my parents and grandparents were way behind the times, and totally uncool. However, I learned tons of life lessons from them, chose to pick the ones I wanted and have lived with the choices I've made. My kids and grandkids probably think I'm out of touch, stodgy (their term) and way, way uncool. However, they also listen to me sometimes, and the love we all share for each other transcends any generational BS. I was born in the time I was supposed to be born, my life is how I made it (given choices to make), good music is to be had in any generation (I kinda like some of Taylor Swifts songs) and I can pull up any of the "oldies" I want any time I want thanks to the electronics we have to play with today. I feel sad for some of the restrictions kids have to live with today, I too was able to play outside, in the woods, desert, hills, where ever we lived (Dad was in the military) without adult supervision. Sadly, I think those days are gone. Anyway, for me and my family at this point in time, life is good.
